Rainy Sunday Refresh: H&M Home

Rainy Sunday Refresh: H&M Home

Today, I took a break from the thrift store. Although, I snuck one more trip in and found a goldmine of beautiful baskets.

But today, we went to the mall. I know. Throwback, right? I took my kiddos to the food court. They had Chipotle; I had Shake Shack (double ShackBurger in a lettuce wrap 😋). Yum.

It was a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.
I ran a quick errand and then, since we were all well fed, we had time to spend a few minutes looking through the sales at H&M Home. I was so impressed with selection of items made with natural materials and at very good prices too.

I picked up a new 100% cotton bath mat and tablecloth, a rattan planter stand to replace a ceramic one that had broken (rattan should be safer on the floor with my kids… one can hope anyway 😅), and a new cotton tablecloth in the most beautiful botanical pattern, and a modern white sculptural vase.

For under $100, I was able to do a little refresh in my house that was really fun. I also love to keep a small cabinet of decor items to swap in and out, even though I land closer to the minimalist on the keeping-stuff scale.

Then when the desire to redecorate my entire house strikes, I can—without spending a lot. Sometimes, just one new item from an estate sale will inspire me, and I can add in things from my cabinet that have been stashed away and enjoy a whole new vignette that makes me smile as I walk by.

Those little moments help me stay motivated to keep my home beautifully and serve my family. I hope you enjoy creating new beauty in your home and enjoy the fresh start that the new year brings!
